Auto Roadside Service Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions of service govern your use of the Auto Roadside Service that you have subscribed to or receive from Rogers, must be read in conjunction with the Rogers Terms of Service and are incorporated into our agreement with you. Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms below have the meanings given to them in the Rogers Terms of Service.

General

Auto Roadside Service is linked to your Rogers wireless phone number. When calling for service, have your phone number ready. Once service is dispatched, the vehicle must be attended when service arrives.

#AUTO (#2886) can be dialled in Canada (airtime and toll free) from your Rogers wireless device. While in the United States or via landline, please dial 1-800-883-2113 toll free (no airtime or roaming charges if calling from your Rogers wireless device).

Services are available across Canada (including, without limitation, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut) and the continental U.S. (including, without limitation, Alaska and the District of Columbia, but not Hawaii or Puerto Rico).

The Auto Roadside Service program for Rogers subscribers is provided by Dominion Automobile Association Limited ("DAA"). DAA may be contacted by calling #AUTO (#2886) or 1-800-883-2113.

Neither DAA nor Rogers makes any warranties as to actual response times on individual calls and are not responsible for service delays. DAA will provide an estimate of waiting time when responding to the initial call for service and will endeavour to respond to such calls in a timely fashion as weather and traffic conditions permit, but shall not be responsible for service delays.

Eligible vehicles (each, an "Eligible Vehicle") for Auto Roadside Service are any non-commercial motor car, truck or van with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding a one ton cargo rating, but shall not include any motorcycle, snowmobile, farm tractor, farm or construction machine or any vehicle not normally intended to be driven on public roads or highways. Auto Roadside Service is not available for the following: unattended or non-registered vehicles; vehicles disabled or stuck in a non-regularly travelled area (i.e. vacant lot, open field, beach, private or impassable road, mud trail, construction site); RV’s, motorcycles or recreational vehicles of any kind; taxis; limousines; school buses; commercial vehicles; and/or any other vehicle of any description that cannot be serviced with “standard automobile services equipment”.

The Auto Roadside Service program includes the following services for Eligible Vehicles:

  1. Towing – Your vehicle will be towed to the destination of your choice for any reason including, without limitation, mechanical failure, collision, road debris, or weather-related phenomena.

  2. Dead Battery – An attempt will be made to boost the battery so that the vehicle can be re-started.

  3. Gasoline Delivery –Delivery of up to a maximum of 12 litres of gasoline so that the vehicle can proceed to the nearest gas station. For safety reasons diesel and other fuels will not be delivered. The Eligible Vehicle must be out of fuel prior to the request for service.

  4. Flat Tire – The flat tire will be removed and your spare tire will be installed, provided that the spare tire is inflated and in sound operating condition. In the event the spare tire is deemed to be unsafe, the vehicle will be towed to the nearest qualified repair facility. Flat tires will not be repaired.

  5. Lockout Service – Should keys be locked in a vehicle, an attempt will be made to open and/or gain access to the passenger compartment of the vehicle and/or its trunk if accessible through such compartment. Parts, excessive labour and/or services of a locksmith may result in additional charges not included with your Auto Roadside Service.

  6. Winching/Extrication – If a vehicle becomes stuck in a ditch, mud or snow, an attempt will be made to winch or extricate the vehicle, provided that the vehicle is accessible and located on, or adjacent to, a regularly travelled roadway. You are solely responsible for the cost of all parts and/or labour to the vehicle.
Auto Roadside Access (pay-per-use)
Payment must be made at the time of service request via American Express, MasterCard, or Visa credit card. Once a credit card payment has been approved by the card issuer, DAA will dispatch a service provider to your location. You are responsible for all costs and charges, including applicable taxes. DAA and its service providers will bill you in Canadian dollars for services performed in Canada and in U.S. dollars for services performed in the United States.

A “Gone on Arrival” fee of $20.00 USD or $25.00 CDN will be charged to you if you make a call for service but are not present at the vehicle upon service response.

DAA will make a reasonable effort to find the lowest service provider price in the area where the services take place. If within seven days of a service event, you submit a bona fide written quote from a second service provider who was able to provide the same services at a lower price on the occasion that the service was needed, DAA will refund you 110% of the difference between the price paid for the service and the price quoted by the alternate service provider. For instructions on how to submit a valid quote that disputes receiving the best rate, call 1-800-883-2113 or #AUTO to speak with a DAA Auto Roadside Service representative.

Auto Roadside Premium Plan
The Auto Roadside Premium Plan includes up to 5 service calls per subscription year (beginning on the date that you subscribe to the plan). Any additional service calls will be part of the Auto Roadside Access pay-per-use program described above and charged to you accordingly. You must wait 72 hours after subscribing to this plan before placing a service call. If following a service call your vehicle is unattended at the time that the service provider arrives at the vehicle, then that service call will still be deducted from the number of calls allowed per year. Upon subscription, your wireless number, billing address and name will be provided to DAA to facilitate the sending of a welcome kit.

Your wireless device must be present at time of service as proof of membership. The services are to be made available in connection with the wireless handset regardless of the vehicle in which they are travelling, provided that it is an Eligible Vehicle.

Maximum Covered Services – Coverage is limited to up to $50.00 per service incident. You will be notified if the cost is expected to exceed that amount and we will request your consent to pay any additional services fees prior to dispatching a service vehicle. You will pay any such fees directly to the service provider.

Cancellation – You may cancel your subscription to the plan at any time by calling 1-888-ROGERS1.
