Rogers Documentary & Drama Fund
The fund is devoted to creating Canadian documentary and dramatic TV programming depicting Canadian experiences.
OMNI's Ontario Independent Producers Initiative is a seven year funding commitment created and made available for independent producers to create third-language ethnocultural programming. OMNI will fund at least 225 third language half- hour dramas or documentaries. Twenty-nine documentaries totalling 90 hours of original multicultural programming will be broadcast on OMNI 1 and 2 in 2004. The documentaries will be broadcast in their original language and adopted into English as well as a range of other languages.
